Adjusting display settings

All settings live under the Display tab within each question of your survey.

Displaying a subtitle

👀 How it looks

  • Smaller-sized text that appears just below the main question heading.

💪 When to use it

  • To clarify the question (i.e. the number of answer choices allowed, how detailed an open-ended answer should be, etc.) or to provide additional context.

Displaying a footnote

👀 How it looks

  • Smaller-sized text that appears at the bottom of the question below the answer choices.

💪 When to use it

  • To clarify something that is not critical for respondents to read in order to understand the question, such as a disclaimer. An asterisk (*) in the main heading can be useful to draw respondents' attention to the footnote.

Displaying an image/video

💼 What it does

  • Displays as an area to upload an image or video. For opinion scale, rating and multiple choice questions, the video can also be configured to be above or below the title.

Displaying a middle text

💼 What it does

  • Appears in the middle of the survey question. This option is only shown under the display settings on an Info Page.

Displaying answers layout

💪 When to use it

  • Select if you would like your answer choices to be displayed vertically or horizontally. This setting only displays on the survey's demographics and choice grid questions.

Displaying a checkbox

💪 When to use it

  • Include a checkbox if you'd like your respondents to check off a certain text before moving on with the survey. This setting is frequently used to ask respondents to agree to the terms and conditions of a survey. The checkbox function only applies to Welcome Page, registration/login form and contact form questions. Additionally, Segmanta stores the checkbox checked time.
