How Questions Display in the Analytics Dashboard

View how each question type displays in the analytics dashboard

It is important to understand how the data collected from each question type will display in the analytics dashboard in order to ensure you will be able to analyze your survey according to your desired objective. When it comes time to build your survey, you will understand the intended outcome of each question type to determine which question type you would like to apply to your survey in order to analyze a question in a particular way. 

See the list below of question types and how they display in the analytics dashboard: 

Multiple Choice, Image Choice, Question Group & Demographics

These questions allow you to use view the percentage and number of votes for each answer choice.

Rating, Opinion Scale & Slider

These questions allow you to view the following metrics: 

  • Average
  • Median
  • Sample size
  • Standard deviation
  • Confidence interval

Long Answer, Short Answer

With open text questions users can visually and numerically analyze the following:

List Question

List questions display a similar analysis as Long & Short answer questions. However, you also have the ability to filter your word cloud or frequency analysis based on the placement in the list that an answer was typed.

Multiple Rating & Choice Grid

These questions allow you to use view the percentage, votes and confidence interval for each answer choice in a table structure for each comparison across subject and choice. 

For Multiple Rating & Choice Grid questions you will have be able to analyze each subject individually. A multi-rating subject will be displayed in the same way as a Single Rating question whereas a Choice Grid question will be displayed in the same way as a multi-choice question as shown in the example below:

Net Promoter Score (NPS)

Segmanta automatically calculates the NPS formula for you. You will be able to analyze using the following data:

  • # of Detractors
  • # of Passives 
  • # of Promoters 
  • NPS Score
  • Distribution across all choices (percentage & vote count)

Ranking

You will be able to analyze the results of a rating question based on the following:

  • Percentage or number of times a response was selected (regardless of ranking position)
  • Distribution of a choice across ranking positions

Unlike Multi-Rating & Choice Grid questions, which display a summary table view and individual subject views, a ranking question has only a single summary view. 

Numerical

View a table of the response & and the time of response.

Info Page

The Info Page analytics displays the number of page views. 

Image Upload

View the image and when each user uploaded their image to this question.

Contact Form

Depending on the fields you've chosen, view the contact details you've asked users to include.
