Segmenting the Progress Bar into different sections organizes your survey by grouping questions into categories, making it easier for users to track their progress and understand where they are in the survey.
To segment the Progress Bar, follow these steps:
Set the Question Blocks:
1. Access the Survey Editor, select the Logic tab, and navigate to the Blocks section.
2. Once in Blocks, you will be able to input the Labels for your Progress Bar.
(The labels will function as the categories that will be incorporated into the segmented progress bar subsequently.)
3. Upon adding the labels, you can tailor the progress bar to fit the specific requirements of your survey by utilizing the Questions tab, Randomize tab, Show tab, and Randomize Block Order.
- Questions Tab: Enables you to select the questions that will be included under each specific block.
- Randomize Tab: Enables you to shuffle the questions within a designated block.
- Show Tab: Allows you to display all questions within the block or choose a specific number of questions that will be randomly assigned to each respondent.
- Randomize Block Order: Allows you to shuffle the order of the blocks.
Once all configurations are complete, proceed to the Outline tab to segment the Progress Bar.
In the Outline Tab:
1. Select a question and then click on the Progress Bar.
2. Once you have selected the Progress Bar, locate and click the Layout button positioned in the upper left corner.
3. Once you click the Layout button, select the Segmented option from the Type dropdown menu.
Your progress bar is now successfully segmented, making it easier for respondents to navigate through your survey.
