Learn about the differences between survey Members and Guests
Survey Permissions allows the account member/admin to control who has access to their survey. By default, team admins always have access to all surveys and will be included in the survey's permissions list. In this tab, team admins have the ability to assign the following roles: Members and Guests.
Members
When you choose to Add a Member to your survey, you are granting that user the ability to analyze your survey results and edit your survey and its permissions.
In general, survey Members can perform all of the same actions as the survey Creator, except they cannot:
- Delete the survey.
- Adjust the survey's guest settings.
Please note: Adding team members to an account is an Enterprise feature, to find out more about Enterprise Plans send us an email.
Guests
Survey Guests can be added to any survey that has guest settings enabled. You can manually add guests under the Guests tab of Permissions or by clicking Share Report from the survey's Analytics Dashboard.
There are two types of guest roles: Guest Editors and Guest Analysts.
Guest Editors
Guest Editors can perform the following actions:
- Access the survey editor and edit the survey
- Preview the survey
- View the survey results and analyze all data in the survey's analytics dashboard
Guest Editors cannot delete surveys or survey responses, create new surveys on your account, export survey results or edit advanced settings or features such as the survey's Facebook Pixel, Webhooks or Integrations.
Guest Analysts
Guest Analysts can perform the following actions:
- View the survey results and analyze all data in the survey's analytics dashboard
- Preview the survey
Guest Analysts cannot edit the survey or it's settings, delete surveys or survey responses, create new surveys on your account or export survey results.
