      Selecting a survey theme

      This guide will show you how to create themes and adjust them accordingly, in order to give your survey a unique look and feel that matches your brand.

       

      There are two options you can select from:

      All Themes

      These themes were created exclusively by Segmanta, and fall under three categories:

      Colors
      These are solid-block colors.

      Other
      These include patterns.

      Visual
      This allows you to add visuals – like a picture as the survey background. 

      Custom

      💼 What it does

      • Allows you to view and adjust various settings including your survey's background image, color scheme, and font style so that you can give your survey a unique look and feel that matches your brand.
      • Custom capabilities fall into two categories where you can do the following:

      Background

      Content

      Background

      Image

      We recommend the image ideally be no more than 1MB. We have an enforced maximum upload size of 4mb. The image should be a maximum of 4MB.

      Pro-tip: High resolution images with a simple design work best as a survey background. The ideal image size is 1440w x 900h (pixels). 

      Image

      🔨 How it works: Upload an image to be used as your survey background.

      Layout

      💼 What it does: Allows you to decide the layout for your background image.

      🔨 How it works: Select if you’d like the image to appear as:

      a) Fill: image covers the entire background area

      b) Tiled: image appears multiple times across the survey (depending on the image's size)

      c) Center: image is centered on the survey page

      d) Fit: image is stretched to fit the screen

      Pro-tip: Preview your survey to see how the background image displays on different devices.

      Color

      Type

      🔨 How it works: Choose between a single solid color or a two-color gradient.

      Color

      🔨 How it works: Select a color that will act as the layer between your background and the content. You can adjust the color's opacity (how transparent or solid it appears) to help your text and media stand out more clearly, depending on the color you choose.

      Image/Color Balance

      💪 When to use it: To increase or decrease the transparency level of your survey's background color. 

      🔨 How it works: The opacity level will be displayed in a percentage format (when then the Image/Color Balance level is set to <100%, your survey's background color will start to appear.) For example, if you want to put more emphasis on the color over the image, you can adjust that by dragging the slider.

      Pro-tip: On background images with distracting shapes or patterns, a more opaque (solid) background color will make your content easier to read.

      Content

      Base Color

      💪 When to use it: To change the color of your survey's font, rating scales, answer choices, image/video upload, and the underline on open-ended questions throughout the survey. 

      🔨 How it works: Click on the round colored circle to choose your text color from the color wheel. Your changes will be applied immediately on your survey's design.


      Accent Color 

      💪 When to use it: To change the color of the following elements in the survey:

          • Start button
          • Submit answer bar
          • Progress bar
          • Selected answer choices
          • Ending page buttons
          • Additional survey accents

      🔨 How it works: Click on the round colored circle to choose your text color from the color wheel. Your changes will be applied immediately on your survey's design. 


      Buttons Style

      💼 What it does: Allows you to change the style to a square button or a round button.

      Font Family

      💼 What it does: Allows you to choose from the provided font styles to apply to your survey.
